Chelsea have had an offer of €8m rejected for St Etienne striker Djylian N’Guessan according to reports in France.

The Blues heavily invested again over the summer, and made five attacking signings as they totally revamped the frontline.

The January window is fast approaching, but it’s believed Chelsea aren’t going to be active unless injuries occur, or an unexpected opportunity presents itself.

However, that hasn’t stopped Chelsea being linked with players, and they’ve been linked with the likes of Kees Smit, Kobbie Mainoo and Noah Sadiki.

Whilst signings for the first team are unlikely, the Blues could look to sign the stars of the future, and have already completed a deal for 16-year-old centre back Deinner Ordonez.

N’Guessan is attracting interest from the Premier League.

It now appears another young talent is on their radar, and L’Equipe have reported Chelsea have had €8m bid rejected for N’Guessan, with St Etienne’s price tag €12.5m.

The report adds the 17-year-old is refusing to extend his contract which expires in 2027, with Arsenal and Brentford also interested, and the clubs management have decided they will sell the player.

Chelsea have previously been linked with N’Guessan, and the teenager is a France under-20 international who’s scored one goal in ten appearances for St Etienne.

Emanuel Emegha arriving next summer

Whilst N’Guessan would very much be one for the future, Chelseas already have a striker arriving next summer in Emegha.

The Dutch international scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season ,and has already signed a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are believed to feel Emegha has greater potential than Nicolas Jackson, and he will likely go straight into the first team squad and compete for minutes with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Emegha isn’t the only forward arriving next summer with winger Geovany Quenda set to join from Sporting Lisbon and go into the first team squad.
