Inter Milan and Bologna will hold talks for striker Santiago Castro at the end of the season.
This according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com. They report that the Rossoblu want €40 million for the 20-year-old, but that Inter are not giving up.
Inter Milan have identified Bologna striker Santiago Castro as one of their major targets in attack this summer.
That is hardly a secret.
The Nerazzurri are keen to make a big attacking signing this summer.
The likes of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic are out of contract with Inter at the end of next month. And reportedly Mehdi Taremi could follow them out the door.
Therefore, Inter want to bolster their attack with a young talent capable of inheriting a starting spot.

According to Calciomercato.com, Bologna are not keen to sell Castro, however.
Rather, the Emilian club want to keep the Argentine for one more season.
CM report that Bologna could offer Castro a pay increase to convince him to stay at the club. The 20-year-old currently earns around €500,000 net per season.
Moreover, Bologna are likely to be playing European football next season. And possibly even in the Champions League.
Therefore, the Rossoblu are hoping that this can motivate Castro to remain for one more year.
Then, Bologna would aim to increase the Argentine’s value and sell him on next summer in all likelihood.
As it is, CM anticipate, Bologna will not let Castro go for cheap. They’d want a fee of at least €40 million for their star striker.
But according to CM, Inter Milan are determined to sign Santiago Castro.
The Nerazzurri see the Bologna striker as the perfect young player to add to their project.
At twenty years of age, Castro would certainly fulfill the remit of Inter owners Oaktree Capital to build around young players.
Therefore, Inter would be willing to make an investment in the Argentine. For the present, and especially for the future.
Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti in particularly is a fan of his compatriot Castro.
Therefore, CM reports, there is little doubt that Inter will make a serious attempt to sign the 20-year-old.
The outlet anticipates that there will be direct talks between Inter and Bologna soon. The clubs could begin negotiations right at the end of the current season.
These could be decisive for laying the groundwork for a potential transfer of Castro to the Nerazzurri this summer.
