Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly contemplating a shock reunion with Manchester United flop Andre Onana.

According to FCInterNews, the goalkeeper’s agent is currently in Milan, potentially discussing his client’s return to San Siro.

Signed from Ajax in 2022, Andre Onana spent just one season at Inter.

However, it was enough to make him one of Europe’s most highly rated shot-stoppers.

Furthermore, Onana’s brilliant season in Serie A earned him a £43.8 million transfer to Man Utd in the summer of 2023.

Despite his superb form at Inter, Onana flopped at Old Trafford, becoming one of the most unpopular figures among the United faithful.

Therefore, the Red Devils loaned him out to Trabzonspor last summer after signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

Onana has fared reasonably well in the Turkish Super Lig this season, registering three clean sheets in 15 league games.

Meanwhile, Inter are trying to find a long-term replacement for the outgoing Yann Sommer.

Though Onana’s return might not overwhelm the Nerazzurri fans with optimism, it’s a realistic option.
