Carlos Augusto joined Inter from Monza in the summer of 2023.

After impressing during his loan spell at Giuseppe Meazza, the 27-year-old earned a permanent contract the following year.

Indeed, his current deal expires in 2028, with the Nerazzurri already looking to tie him down to a new contract.

Inter Milan Keen to Extend Carlos Augusto Contract

Despite making just 11 Serie A starts this season, Augusto remains a vital first-team member.

Manager Cristian Chivu has often relied on the Brazilian’s versatility in times of crisis.

Though primarily a left-back, Augusto is equally well-versed in operating as a center-back.

Therefore, he has frequently occupied the center-back spot, particularly in the absence of Alessandro Bastoni.

Furthermore, he has rarely failed to live up to expectations.

As such, Inter are looking to renew his contract and offer him a pay rise.

If convinced to sign a new deal, Augusto would take home around €3 million in annual wages.

However, his limited playing time could be a potential stumbling block.
