Reports in Italy claim that PSG are considering making a surprise €60m offer for Roma’s star midfielder Manu Kone, who is making a strong impression back in his home country.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, PSG are strongly interested in a potential deal for Roma and France midfielder Kone, who is valued in the region of €50m by his current employers.
According to Monday’s report, PSG’s interest is so strong, that they could potentially be minded to go above Roma’s asking price, to a figure in the region of €60m, in order to fend off interest from other clubs and to seal a deal without a long negotiation process with the Giallorossi.

The 24-year-old is making a strong impression on the France national team, despite being left on the bench for the recent 3-0 win over Azerbaijan. He is expected to come into the starting line-up against Iceland on Monday night.
Corriere dello Sport claims that ‘everybody is crazy about Kone’ at the moment, that his family, friends, former colleagues and residents from his hometown have all been interviewed in the press in recent weeks, and that he is quickly becoming an ‘unexpected’ star of Didier Deschamps’s national team.

Roma, as things stand, reportedly have no interest in letting one of their star players leave, especially after such a strong start to the Serie A season, which joint-top with Napoli before the October international break.
However, Roma are still restricted by financial fair play regulations, and given that they brought Kone in for a reasonable sum of €18m last summer, a €60m offer from PSG would do wonders for the club’s accounts and capital gains.
