Chelsea wanted to have a front of shirt sponsor sorted and are looking for around £60m per year according to reports.
The Blues have now entered a third consecutive season without a front of shirt sponsor, although they have had short term deals in that period.
Infinite Athlete were the sponsor for part of the 2023/2024 campaign, whilst property company Damac featured on the shirt for a handful of games at the backend of last season.
The lack of a front of shirt sponsor has left fans bemused, but having won the Club world Cup and returned to the Champions League, Chelsea will feel they are in a strong position.
It had been reported the Blues are in talks with a number of suitors from the Middle East and America, but as of yet nothing has materialised with the season underway.

When a front of shirt sponsor is going to be sorted is unclear, but Give Me Sport have provided an update about the ongoing process.
They report Chelsea wanted to have a front of shirt sponsor sorted and are said to be looking for around £60m per year.
Give Me Sport add that is higher than what Liverpool are paid by sponsor Standard Chartered, and Chelsea are said to want to protect the value they are looking for rather than locking themselves into a lesser rate than rival clubs.
Without a shirt sponsor the Blues are missing out on revenue, despite raising over £300m through player sales in the summer.

The prize money from the Club World Cup has certainly plugged some of the hole the lack of sponsorship has left, but the Blues can’t afford to continue without a sponsor for much longer.
