Artem Dovbyk’s 2025 was far from memorable.

As written by Corriere dello Sport, it was a year marked by personal and professional difficulties during which the Ukrainian striker endured a veritable ordeal after a promising start.

Until March, the player seemed to have found his form, scoring seven goals between January and March.

However, his performances plummeted from then on, finishing the year with only ten goals overall. Dovbyk’s career has been marked by numerous problems.

After an initial period of confidence under Claudio Ranieri, who used him regularly, the player often ended up on the bench, as in the final two games of last season.

His move to Gasperini didn’t improve his situation, with the striker continuing to struggle in a tactical environment that failed to showcase his talents. The difficulties continued with the failed swap with Gimenez in the summer and, finally, an injury that further slowed him down.

Now, Dovbyk’s adventure at Roma appears to be coming to an end. His name is once again on the way out, with West Ham and Everton hot on his trail.

Roma, who have invested in him in the past, hope to cash in on a €25 million transfer fee, a sum that would allow them to avoid a capital loss and reinvest in the transfer market.

Dovbyk’s situation is therefore destined to evolve soon, but with a difficult 2025 season behind him, Roma is preparing to say goodbye to a player who has failed to live up to expectations. The hope is that a new adventure abroad can revitalize him and help him rediscover the form he displayed upon his arrival in the capital.
