Roni double stuns leaders as Porto are beaten in Vila das Aves | OneFootball

AVS stunned leaders Porto 3-1 in Liga Portugal, with Roni's brace and a late Aderllan Santos header delivering a shock result that keeps Porto top while AVS remain 18th.

Roni opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, drilling in from the centre of the box after a corner. Deniz Gül levelled with a close-range header (53.), before Roni restored the lead with a low strike from outside the area (58.). Santos, on moments earlier, glanced in Tunde Akinsola's set-piece cross to seal it (80.).

After the restart, Porto forced openings but Adriel saved smartly from Rodrigo Mora and Gül. Claudio Ramos also denied Diego Duarte from the centre of the box as the hosts searched for a cushion.

AVS's bench mattered. Tomané arrived (68.) and soon created a headed chance for Duarte that Ramos saved (77.), while Santos came on (76.) and scored with his first effort (80.).

Dominik Prpić received a second yellow and was sent off in the second minute of second half stoppage time.

Porto posted 20 attempts and 68.7% possession as they chased the game. AVS were ruthless, scoring three times from five shots on target.
