Santos have extended attacking midfielder Enzo Boer’s contract until July 2028 and loaned him to Ponte Preta for the rest of Série B.
According to Diario Do Peixe, his previous deal ran only to December and he had been training apart from the squad. He could sign a pre-contract elsewhere, so an agreement was reached with his camp to prolong it.
His representatives had prepared an exit if Santos did not change stance. He stayed away after the break, then talks progressed and the renewal and loan were finalised.
In January he played in the Copa São Paulo, then aged out of youth football. His contract, due to expire on 31 January, was first extended to December, and he was sent to Santo André in Paulista A-2 to gain minutes, making his debut.
He later received an offer from ZTE of Hungary, and both club and entourage rushed to seal a sale shortly before the 13 February window deadline. With a future percentage retained for Santos, the deal needed president Marcelo Teixeira’s signature, but he judged the fee low and declined.
As the loan had already been ended to enable the transfer, Boer left Santo André and returned to Santos, training separately since.
He joined Santos’ academy in September 2024 after years with São Paulo from the age of 11, where his contract was not renewed. He did not feature in official competitions that year and was among Santos’ leading scorers at the Under-19 Copa Atlântico.
Last year he scored four goals in 24 matches in the Paulista Under-20 and two in 13 in the Brasileiro at the same level. This year he played three games in the Copinha.
