São Paulo prosecutor receives fresh call for judicial intervention at Corinthians | OneFootball

Three Corinthians members have asked São Paulo’s public prosecutor to impose a judicial intervention, citing institutional rupture and administrative disorder. According to Meu Timao, the 23-page petition was filed on Wednesday by Fábio Prudente, Weslei Marinho and Augusto Backes of Coletivo Voz Corinthiana.

They allege instability, saying president Osmar Stabile convened a CD meeting without following article 82, and that, despite warnings from the CJ and CE chief Leonardo Pantaleão, it voted to remove CD president Romeu Tuma Júnior, a move neither he nor Pantaleão recognised without court validation.

A notarial record says the session continued after first secretary Maria Ângela Ocampos declared it closed, and that Stabile helped steer proceedings.

The filing accuses Stabile and legal head Pedro Soares of engineering conflict with Tuma. It seeks Stabile’s precautionary suspension and the removal of vice-president Armando Mendonça, who is under police inquiry after an audit found 131 Nike-supplied items were unrecorded between June and October 2025.

They also want CF president Haroldo Dantas stood down over conflict of interest, and say the 18 March call to meet suggests retaliation to curb oversight. The group backs a 18 April vote on a new statute.

The petition proposes a TAC with MP-SP for an independent audit of recent contracts and to monitor statute implementation, and, citing Civil Code article 49, seeks a provisional administrator. It also asks to void the 23 March CD meeting and review councillors’ conduct, noting no deadline while a related inquiry is suspended pending a Corinthians appeal.
