Sbaï strikes after the break as Angers climb to 11th

Angers beat Nantes 1-0 at the Beaujoire, climbing to 11th and ending a four-match away winless run.

In the 52nd minute, Amine Sbaï guided Jordan Lefort's cross following a corner into the bottom right.

Hervé Koffi preserved the lead with smart saves from Dehmaine Tabibou and Mostafa Mohamed late on. Anthony Lopes kept Les Canaris in contention earlier, thwarting Goduine Koyalipou and Sbaï.

Angers lost Yassin Belkhdim to injury early, with Pierrick Capelle introduced. After a flurry of changes around the hour mark, Les Canaris pushed higher and Mostafa Mohamed headed Fabien Centonze's delivery narrowly wide.
