Schalke ready to offer Dzeko new deal

After joining Schalke 04 on a six-month deal as a free agent in January, Edin Dzeko played a key role in their promotion to the Bundesliga, scoring six goals in 11 games.

The Royal Blues are now hoping to convince the 40-year-old to extend his stay for the 2026/27 campaign and have prepared an offer for him, according to Bild.

The German tabloid reports that Schalke are willing to offer Dzeko a base salary of €900,000 per year. With bonuses included, the veteran forward could earn €1.3 million, which would put him among the club’s top earners.

Dzeko, however, is still considering whether Schalke should be the final chapter of his illustrious career, with the club not putting him under any pressure and willing to give him more time to make his decision.
