Security guard in row with Jorginho’s daughter denies link to Chappell Roan | OneFootball

Pascal Duvier, the security guard at the centre of a hotel row involving Jorginho’s family in São Paulo, has denied he was working for Chappell Roan, saying he was assigned to another artist. He confirmed he was the guard and said so in a social media post on Wednesday night.

He said the online accusations were false and defamatory, and that he took full responsibility for interactions on 21 March. He added he was not part of Chappell Roan’s personal security team, that his actions were not on behalf of the singer, her security, her manager or anyone else, and he did not name the artist he was protecting.

Duvier said the hotel carried an elevated security risk but rejected claims of heavy-handed conduct or of making Jorginho’s daughter cry. He stated his only contact was with Catherine Harding, the midfielder’s wife, and called the outcome regrettable.

Jorginho, his wife and Chappell Roan had already addressed the incident, which happened at a São Paulo hotel while the family were in the city for the Lollapalloza Brasil festival last week. After Jorginho posted about it on Instagram on Friday, Flamengo supporters flooded the singer’s account with criticism.

English outlets have since picked up the story in recent days.
