Manchester United entertained Sunderland at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a bright start to the contest and scored the opening goal in the eighth minute when Mason Mount found the back of the net. Benjamin Sesko doubled his team’s advantage in the 31st minute as Ruben Amorim’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

The home side controlled the game well in the second half and earned an impressive 2-0 win at the Theatre of Dreams.

Diallo was a real threat on the right flank and managed to engineer some inviting chances in the final third.

CM: Casemiro – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well and was strong in the air.

CM: Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

Fernandes was a constant menace in the final third and came back to defend when needed.

LM: Diogo Dalot – 6.5/10

He cleared his lines when he could, but offered very little going forward.

RAM: Bryan Mbeumo – 7/10

Mbeumo caught the eye at times in the final third and ended the game with an assist to his name.

LAM: Mason Mount – 7.5/10

He managed to shine at times in the opponent’s half and scored the opener with a great strike.
