Sevilla defender responds to Barcelona star Raphinha’s alleged jibe | OneFootball

Sevilla star Loïc Badé has provided his take on the alleged dig aimed in the direction of he and his teammates by Barcelona attacker Raphinha over the weekend.

Barcelona of course made the trip to Sevilla on Sunday night, ultimately emerging on the right side of a 4-1 result.

En route to as much, an exchange between the aforementioned Raphinha and teammate Lamine Yamal, meanwhile, turned heads.

As picked up on by the Movistar cameras at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), the former, whilst affording instructions to Lamine on the pitch, encouraged the 17-year-old to press Sevilla’s defenders ‘a little further back’.

This came, according to Raphinha, ‘because they are terrible at it (playing out from the back)’.

Speaking to the media this week, the subject of the Barcelona star’s alleged jibe was therefore put to a member of Sevilla’s backline.

The aforementioned Loïc Badé, though, appeared entirely unbothered in responding:

“He can say whatever he wants. I didn’t see the video. [If he] thinks we’re terrible, he can think whatever he wants.”
