Sevilla are hunting cost-effective reinforcements as tight finances restrict big outlays and shift focus towards free agents or loans.
According to La Colina De Nervion, the recruitment team are scanning overseas markets for immediate-impact options. They have been linked with Maximiliano Araújo and Mandela Keita, alongside Juan Iglesias, Arouna Sangante and Patrick Mercado.
Araújo, 26, plays for Sporting and can operate across the left flank for club and Uruguay. Recent international displays have drawn attention from Juventus, Napoli and Porto.
His price is a major obstacle, with an estimated 25 million euros fee and Sporting unlikely to ease negotiations. Sevilla would need to shed wages or complete a major sale, and rivals have greater financial power.
Keita, 23, is a Belgian midfielder at Parma, settled in Serie A after Royal Antwerp where he featured in the Champions League. The report links Sevilla with him while Inter, Milan and Napoli are also tracking the player. He is a hard-working ball winner and a tactical anchor, with passing accuracy near 90 percent.
An 18 million euros valuation again makes a deal difficult. To add physical presence in midfield, Marius Marin remains on the agenda. For now, Sevilla’s market plans depend on outgoings and strict budget control.
