Sheffield United trio sign on for 2025/2026 | OneFootball

Sheffield United have revealed that Leanne Cowan, Abbie Lafayette and Ella Kinzett have all signed contracts with the club for the 2025/2026 campaign.

The Blades announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

Sheffield United have been locked in negotiations with the trio since the end of last season and the club have now confirmed positive outcomes to those talks.

On her day, Cowan can be one of the very best rights-backs in Barclays WSL2. After joining Sheffield United last summer, the player was able to prove her quality and put in some strong performances throughout the campaign. Cowan featured in every game for The Blades.

Left-back Lafayette also joined Sheffield United last summer. She has now completed two seasons as a Barclays WSL2 footballer and continues to grow with every game for her current club.

Midfielder Kinzett joined Sheffield United in 2023 and stayed on with the club for last season. The 21-year-old has established herself as an important member of the team both on and off the pitch.

Sheffield United now have seven first team players contracted to the club for the new season. Goalkeeper Sian Rogers, forward Amy Andrews and youngsters Tilly Bristow and Eva Butler are also under contract for the upcoming campaign.
