Sidny Cabral’s Benfica stint may have been given fresh impetus, as he returned to action after a spell out.
Record writes that there had been a wait for his return. He came on in the 76th minute against Vitória de Guimarães with Benfica already 3-0 up.
The Cape Verde international had not played since 25 February, when Benfica faced Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in the second leg of the Champions League play-off.
He was an unused substitute against Gil Vicente, a 2-1 win, then left out for the Porto draw, 2-2, and the Arouca victory, another 2-1. There is no certainty, but the timing coincided with controversy over him asking Vinicius Jr for a shirt.
Signed from Estrela da Amadora in January, Cabral, valued at five million euros, has played 28 competitive matches this season, 23 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, two in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,835 minutes, he has six goals and six assists.
