One of Southampton's summer signings have been praised for their performances this term

One of Southampton’s summer signings has been handed some huge praise.
The Saints have experienced a mixed 2025/26 campaign, which started with a nightmare stint under manager Will Still.
The Belgian arrived at St. Mary’s with a strong reputation after impressing with Lens and Reims in French football.
However, he would win just two of his 13 Championship matches in charge, which left Southampton lingering towards the bottom of the table. Still was handed his marching orders, with U21s boss Tonda Eckert appointed in his place.
Immediately, performances picked up, with the German winning his first four matches in charge. This pushed the South Coast outfit back up the league and ended with Eckert being given the job permanently.

Since Eckert’s appointment, a number of the Saints’ summer signings have begun to start playing at their full potential, which has been evident in Southampton’s results.
Tom Fellows and Leo Scienza have risen to new levels in their game, which has been a welcome boost for the Saints.
Another one of these operators is Caspar Jander, who signed for the South Coast outfit in the summer for £10.4m. With such a sizeable fee, the midfielder’s performances have been watched particularly closely.
When queried on how well the German has performed this season, Football League World’s Southampton fan pundit, Martin Sanders, couldn’t praise Jander enough.
“He's going to be really good,” stated Martin. “He likes to go and get the ball off the back three, picks it up, turns, doesn't give it away.
“He makes loads of passes into the final third. He's a wonderful little footballer. I really like him. I think he'll go right to the top in England as well. He's young and he's only going to get better as well.
“When you've got people like Scienza and Fellows that are always thinking forward, you've always got an option to play a forward pass and that's what Kasper does.
“He's a really, really good bit of business.”

Since Eckert was appointed, Southampton’s form has turned into that of a team that should finish in the play-offs, winning six times and losing twice.
If the Saints are going to rank in the top six, they will need their best players to perform at a high level during the second half of the season. Jander falls into this category, which puts extra onus on his displays.
The 22-year-old has started all eight matches under Eckert thus far, which shows how highly Southampton’s new owner rates the midfielder. His passing ability has been something particularly of note, enjoying an accuracy of 91 per cent this term.
If he continues to conduct proceedings in the middle of the park and allows other operators, such as Fellows or Scienza, to perform at their highest level, Jander could end up being a really important player for Southampton during the second portion of this term.
