Southampton need to beat Burnley to the signature of Bristol Rovers' sensational English attacker Kofi Shaw.
Most Southampton fans would nod to this, the Saints' campaign has been a sea of defeats. Choose whichever, the fans are sure to drown with their cries remembering them.
Still, if asked to pick one loss that shattered the fans the most, which would it be? Well, for me, it's a no-brainer, the FA Cup elimination at the hands of Burnley.
While Southampton have endured more decisive defeats than this one, nothing can beat this humiliation in front of home fans. In fact, not only that, this Cup defeat derailed Juric's Southampton tenure completely.
After some impressive displays followed by a brilliant Ipswich win, the club looked at their best in a while, but this loss changed it all.
Needless, to say, this defeat's revenge remains on the wishlist of Saints fans even now. And thankfully, there's a way Southampton can fulfil this demand soon. Just the catch is, it will come off the field.
So, in case you don't know, Southampton have been linked with a move for English talent Kofi Shaw for a long time. Yet, with Shaw keeping his options open and the club vying for other deals at the moment, nothing’s been sealed.
Sounds tame so far, right? Well, then, here enters Burnley, who has become the latest addition to the prodigy attacker's transfer hunt.
As per journalist Alan Nixon(via Football League World), the Championship club aims for the League One youngster as they hope to flourish in their Premier League return.
Well, firstly eliminating Southampton at their home turf, and now trying a transfer steal on their target, this Burnley action needs answering from the Saints.
After all, Southampton can't just let the Clarets prize away Shaw when he possesses the talent to be the Saints' next Tyler Dibling story.
But, the solution's simple. The Saints must attract the prodigy with their brilliant youth setup vision and development plan, and the rest will fall in place itself.
Now, Southampton knows what to do, and how to do it. Now, let this be the first strike in Southampton’s revenge arc.
