Lucas Bergvall took part in Tottenham training ahead of the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder has been out since January with an ankle injury but is closing in on a return to first-team action in a boost for boss Igor Tudor.

Cristian Romero was also involved in the open session in front of the media having missed Sunday’s draw with Liverpool after sustaining a head injury in the first leg with Atletico Madrid, due to colliding with team-mate Joao Palhinha.

Palhinha was seen doing individual work separately from the main group, while Richarlison also trained separately.

Conor Gallagher also missed out having been absent through illness against Liverpool.

Spurs have the monumental task of overturning a 5-2 deficit from the first leg if they are to progress to the Champions League quarter finals.
