Everaldo headed in the third minute to set Bahia on course for a 3-0 win over Athletico Paranaense. The Brazilian striker then struck again before the break to put clear daylight between the sides.
Early on, Everaldo found space at the back post and glanced a header into the top left from close range, meeting a teasing delivery from Jean Lucas. That early punch let Tricolor Baiano dictate the tempo and play from in front.
He doubled up with a composed right-footed finish from the centre of the box (35.), arriving between centre-backs to turn in Luciano's pass. From there, Furacão were chasing shadows as Esquadrão de Aço kept supplying him from wide areas.
Everaldo finished with two attempts, both on target and both goals, and drew four fouls that helped Bahia manage territory. His work out of possession mattered too, with seven ball recoveries underpinning the press and preventing Athletico-PR from building cleanly through midfield.
Because Bahia's wide providers consistently hit early balls into the area, Everaldo's near-post and blind-side movements kept CAP's back line off balance. That blend of penalty-box craft and graft made him the decisive figure on the night.
The display lifts Tricolor Baiano up to third in the table, while Furacão drop to fifth. Next up, Tricolor Baiano host Palmeiras in the league. Athletico-PR visit Atlético Mineiro.
