Leeds United have two weeks left to shape their January window, with Facundo Buonanotte arriving on a six-month loan from Brighton. The Argentinian turned down Elland Road for Chelsea in the summer, but after only 45 Premier League minutes he pushed for a switch to West Yorkshire.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, attention has also turned to further targets while outgoings are being managed, with updates spanning Jorgen Strand Larsen and Joel Piroe.

Daniel Farke has said he has no plans to lose anyone this month, though that could change if a player asks to go, and there is no suggestion of that. Speculation around right-back Jayden Bogle was swiftly quashed, with no exit to be sanctioned.

Charlie Crew’s season-long loan at Doncaster Rovers has been cut short and he has returned, with any new temporary move yet to be decided. Jack Harrison is set to join Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to buy of around £6m after he completed medical tests and was pictured in club colours.

Interest in Piroe from Championship and overseas clubs is known, albeit neither is pushing. Links to Celtic are understood to be wide of the mark, and a loan would offer next to no benefit to Leeds’ PSR position.

Joe Gelhardt is halfway through his loan at Hull and thriving, with 10 goals in 19 appearances. Chairman Acun Ilicali has said he wants a permanent deal in the summer, and he does not expect a January recall.
