Strasbourg 0-0 PFC ratings: Mike Penders and Kevin Trapp excel | OneFootball

Strasbourg and PFC played out a tight 0-0, with the goalkeepers the headline acts. Mike Penders preserved a point with a sharp second-half stop, while Kevin Trapp was decisive before the break.

L'Équipe notes that the pair’s vigilance underpinned a match of few clear chances.

On eight minutes, Martial Godo’s corner effort was deflected by Matondo. Jonathan Ikoné then swung in a fine cross on 10 minutes with no takers, before Trapp produced key saves on 12 and 34 minutes. Ciro Immobile shot over on 13 minutes, and Diego Coppola impressed with timely interventions on 17 and 33 minutes.

After the interval, Trapp blocked Panichelli on 57 minutes and Coppola again dominated in the air on 62. Godo made way for Nanasi on 63 minutes, and Immobile was replaced by Geubbels on 64, who added depth. Penders denied Koleosho on 65 minutes, Trapp punched clear on 88, then made a superb intervention in front of D. Fofana at 90+2.

In the ratings, Trapp earned seven and Coppola also seven, the defender, with Mbow, containing Panichelli and bossing the air. Penders received six for his decisive stop.

For Strasbourg, Samir El Mourabet took six for his control and line-breaking passing. Julio Enciso was marked three after a wasteful, individual display, while Martial Godo received four. For PFC, Immobile was given three and Ikoné four after too many turnovers despite his early cross.
