Following their qualification last night for a UEFA competition for the first time since the 2005-2006, Strasbourg took part in the UEFA Conference League draw this afternoon in Monaco. The BlueCo-owned club are set to face Crystal Palace at home along with a trip to Scottish club Aberdeen as well as Slovan Bratislava. Former Brighton men Liam Rosenior and Valentin Barco will be facing their ex-club’s rivals with the tie between the Ligue 1 and Premier League side set to take place at Stade de la Meineau. The match calendar from today’s draw will be shortly announced over the weekend. Crystal Palace will be featuring in the Conference League, after they were downgraded by UEFA over multi-ownership rules – not placing the club’s shares owned by former Lyon owner John Textor into a blind trust in time to qualify for the UEFA Europa League following their FA Cup win last season. Textor has since relinquished his position as president of Lyon to Michele Kang, as OL avoided administrative relegation to Ligue 2 by French football’s financial watch-dog, the DNCG.GFFN | George Boxall
