Sunderland goalkeeper Isaac Allan nearing Hebburn loan return after promotion | OneFootball

Isaac Allan is closing in on a return to Hebburn Town, with the Sunderland goalkeeper lined up for a fresh loan after impressing in their title-winning campaign.

According to Sunderland Echo, discussions are ongoing between the clubs over another temporary move following his successful spell with the Hornets last season.

Allan played a key part as Hebburn won the Northern Premier League and secured promotion to National League North, gaining valuable senior experience. A return would continue his development at a higher level in a familiar set-up.

Hebburn are preparing for the demands of National League North and are keen to bring him back as part of their plans for the new campaign. The arrangement would also suit Sunderland, with regular competitive minutes seen as crucial for young goalkeepers.

He could train during the week within Sunderland’s academy structure while testing himself consistently in senior football. No agreement has been finalised.

Allan joined Sunderland after leaving Lincoln City and remains highly regarded at the Academy of Light on the back of that spell.
