Sunderland, Leeds United and Everton are said to be monitoring Boca Juniors midfielder Milton Delgado, with the Argentine side willing to let him leave this summer, according to Sportsboom.

Delgado, 20, came through Boca’s academy and has passed 50 senior appearances. He is established with Argentina Under-20s.

The report says Crystal Palace are also tracking him, while Udinese and Torino, plus Real Betis and Getafe, hold interest. Inter Miami and Atlanta United are keen to use a Young Designated Player slot to sign him.

No official or written offers have been lodged. The report added his representatives went on a European tour last month for talks in Spain and England, without naming the clubs.

Sunderland have cast their net widely over the last 12 months, recruiting from elite leagues and beyond, including Sweden and Israel.
