From fast starts to setbacks, Sunderland’s loanees are living mixed campaigns. Sunderland Echo reports that 13 players are currently away from the Stadium of Light.

Simon Adingra has three goals in seven Ligue 1 matches for Monaco, including a February brace in a 3-1 win over Nantes. If this continues, Monaco will surely trigger their £16m buy option.

Anthony Patterson joined Millwall in January, sat out two games, then started seven straight. He has three clean sheets and one conceded per 90, with Millwall now two points off the automatic places.

Dan Neil has been rotated at Ipswich since January. He has helped trim the gap to second to two points with a game in hand, and with his deal up at season’s end he might eye a Premier League return at Portman Road.

Jenson Seelt had highs against Gladbach and Union Berlin, then a DFB-Pokal red, plus an own goal and a conceded penalty in a 4-3 loss to Freiburg, before a knee injury.

Alan Browne has proved invaluable for Middlesbrough across multiple roles. Ajibola Alese logged four Portsmouth minutes and a booking before a thigh injury sidelined him, Nazariy Rusyn has four in 19 for Arka Gdynia, Niall Huggins has 16 outings for Wycombe, Luis Semedo has two in 16 for Moreirense, Zak Johnson is a 19-game regular for second-placed York, while Arthur Masuaku has barely featured for Lens, Leo Hjelde has 51 minutes for Sheffield United, and Timothee Pembele has seven Ligue 1 outings for Le Havre.
