Sunderland ‘monitoring’ £15m Jens Petter Hauge, with Leeds United and Hull City keen | OneFootball

Sunderland are monitoring Bodø/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge, valued at about £15m, amid interest from Leeds United and Hull City.

Ontheminute.com reports that the Norway international has rebuilt his reputation since returning home and is now thought to command a fee in that region.

The 26-year-old has senior spells with AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and Gent, so he would not necessarily be viewed as a long-term project. He could offer immediate know-how, versatility and European pedigree.

Naturally right-footed, Hauge prefers starting on the left, cutting inside to attack central areas and create for teammates. He can also operate in other attacking roles.

Sunderland are expected to weigh several options as they look to strengthen Régis Le Bris’ squad, with extra quality out wide likely to be a priority.

His ability to adapt quickly, plus previous experience in England and in European competition, could make him an appealing target. Should Sunderland move, they may face competition to formalise any interest.
