Sunderland sealed their long-awaited Premier League return after a dramatic 2-1 win over Sheffield United in the play-off final.
Scorers: Campbell 25'; Mayenda 76', Watson 90+5'
Tyrese Campbell put Chris Wilder's side ahead midway through the first half with a driving run and chipped finish after being played in by Gustavo Hamer.
The Blades appeared to have doubled their advantage eight minutes later through Harrison Burrows' sublime volley which was disallowed by VAR for an infraction.
But the Black Cats struck back in the game's final quarter as Eliezer Mayenda rifled home a leveller against the run of play from Patrick Roberts' defence-splitting pass.
As extra time loomed, Régis Le Bris' side finally snatched the spoils deep into added time courtesy of Tom Watson's low-driven effort from outside the penalty area.
It will be Sunderland's first time back in the English top flight since 2016/17.
