Szoboszlai Gets 8.5, Konate With 5 | Liverpool Players Rated In Dismal Loss Vs PSV Eindhoven

Liverpool entertained PSV Eindhoven at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the sixth minute when Ivan Perisic found the back of the net from the penalty spot. However, Dominic Szoboszlai equalised for the home side in the 16th minute as the two teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
Guus Til restored PSV’s lead in the 56th minute. Couhaib Driouech bagged a quick-fire brace late in the game as Arne Slot’s men crashed to a dismal 4-1 loss at Anfield.
He made a couple of solid saves at the back but conceded four goals tonight.
RB: Curtis Jones – 6/10
Jones earned possession back twice but lacked quality on the ball.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 5/10
He made a few costly errors at the back and was replaced in the 75th minute.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6/10
Van Dijk failed to keep things tidy defensively, but was a threat at the other end of the field.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6/10
He looked vulnerable defensively and lacked quality in the final third.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
Gravenberch made two crucial interceptions inside his half but failed to make a difference going forward.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6.5/10
He linked up play well with others around him, but there was no goal for him.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 8.5/10
Szoboszlai was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score in the 16th minute.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7/10
He engineered a few inviting chances for his teammates but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 6.5/10
Ekitike was a threat in the first half but got injured and was replaced in the 60th minute.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10
He caused some headaches for his marker but lacked quality in front of the PSV goal.
ST: Alexander Isak – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
