Ezechiel Banzuzi remains a target for the West Ham with talks set to resume over a possible summer move.

The Dutch midfielder was a player of significant interest during the January transfer window, however a deal could not be reached with his current side OH Leuven who play in the Belgium Pro League.

Although we were not successful in signing Banzuzi in the new year, its now understood that talks are set to resume, with Graham Potter keen on adding the powerful and technical midfielder to his side next season, although Borussia Dortmund are also keen on the player.

Reporting on The West Ham Way, club insider ExWHUemployee reported that talks are now set to continue, whilst adding that the situation with Lucas Paqueta will have no impact on the pursuit of Banzuzi.

“Talks will continue this summer as we aim to sign Banzuzi,” said the club insider. “The club and Potter are keen to land the player and it’s understood that the situation with Paqueta will not impact whether we aim to sign Banzuzi or not.”
