Tamires returned to Corinthians' training centre on Monday morning after more than 40 days away for TV commitments, according to Meu Timao. She had been released to appear on Rede Globo's Central da Copa.
During her absence she was unavailable to the coaching staff and missed the inter-season period and Friday's 1-0 win over Ferroviária in the Campeonato Paulista. She is expected not to be named for Monday's Copa do Brasil round of 16 tie away to Ferroviária in Araraquara.
After Friday's match, coach Emily Lima said the decision to release Tamires did not come from her staff, but from an agreement between the board and the previous staff made before her arrival in February. She said she followed the club's instructions and kept working.
As the show was filmed in Rio de Janeiro, Tamires stayed there throughout and was not available to Corinthians. She returned to São Paulo at the weekend and reported back on Monday.
While apart from the squad, the number 37 followed an individual programme set by the club's Health and Performance unit, sharing clips on social media of jogging, gym strength work and mobility drills.
With Tamires out, Lima's only specialist left-back is Juliete. In the win over Ferroviária, she instead improvised forward Rhaizza in that role.
