Teammate is certain: Superstar Olise is staying with Bayern | OneFootball

Although FC Bayern has repeatedly emphasized that Michael Olise is not for sale this summer, the rumor mill continues to churn. A teammate of the French player has now spoken plainly. 

Real Madrid, in particular, still doesn’t seem to have given up entirely. Although the Royals issued a press release regarding Olise—in which they not only highlighted their good relations with FC Bayern but also emphasized that they had no contact with the player—the Spanish media have not ruled out the possibility that the topic could resurface this summer.

Bayern itself does not want to even consider a sale under any circumstances.

Upamecano Talks About Olise’s Future

Olise is currently playing with the French national team at the 2026 World Cup in North America and has a good chance of winning the title. That’s why his focus is currently on the World Cup. Afterward, there are expected to be talks with FC Bayern, which wants to extend his contract soon.

After France’s 1-0 victory over Paraguay in the Round of 16, Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano spoke to Sky about, among other things, the rumors surrounding his teammate.

When asked about the ongoing reports regarding a possible transfer, Upamecano stated clearly with a smile: “He’s staying, he’s staying!”

The key question, however, is what Olise himself thinks about his future. Discussions with FC Bayern after the tournament are likely to be essential in this regard. The prospect of playing alongside Kylian Mbappé at the club level is certainly seen as appealing, yet despite all the rumors and reports, Bayern still holds the cards.

FCB is not a club that sells players, nor has it acted that way in recent years.
