The details as Hansi Flick signs new contract at Barcelona | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday announced a contract renewal for beloved head coach Hansi Flick.

This of course comes fresh off the German tactician leading the Blaugrana to a 2nd successive league title.

Flick for his part arrived in Catalunya’s capital back in the summer of 2024, with the task of wrestling back Spanish football supremacy from arch rivals Real Madrid.

And the ex-Bayern Munich boss has since managed precisely that…

After securing all of La Liga, the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España in his debut season in Barcelona, the 61-year-old added a further league crown and Spanish Super Cup this time round.

In turn, it came as little surprise when recent reports mounted in the media, that Flick was set to be rewarded with a new deal at the Camp Nou.

And as alluded to above, early this week, precisely as much has been confirmed.

As per a statement across Barca’s website and social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona and Hansi Flick have reached an agreement to extend his contract, tying him to the club until 30 June 2028 with the option for an additional season.’
