Southampton scraped a 2-1 win at Swansea City, turning it after the break as substitutes Shea Charles and Cameron Archer sealed an eighth straight victory.

Marko Stamenic struck on 20 minutes, beating Daniel Peretz, but the visitors kept fighting under Tonda Eckert. According to Sainstmarching.com, the starting forwards misfired before the bench changed it.

Leo Scienza and Finn Azaz were unusually quiet, producing only four shots and relinquishing possession a combined 41 times, which left Ross Stewart feeding on scraps. He went off just before the 70 minute mark after two efforts.

The annual EFL awards brought no Southampton recognition in the Team of the Season, Player of the Season or Manager of the Season categories.

Instead, academy graduate Dom Ballard collected a hat-trick of honours after a sumptuous season with Richie Wellens' Leyton Orient. The 21-year-old, who left his boyhood club last summer, was named League One Player and Young Player of the Season and made the third tier's team.

He has a league-best 22 goals at the time of writing despite Orient battling the drop. His manager has said he was at times so good he was hard to omit even when fatigued. With only four senior outings at St Mary's, a Championship move could beckon if suitors appear this summer.
