Troy Deeney has admitted he’s frustrated with Raheem Sterling and feels the winger can’t complain about his situation at Chelsea.
Sterling ended up staying at Chelsea despite being available all summer, and having interest from a number of clubs.
Chelsea were hoping to get £20m for the winger, but despite reported interest the Blues received no offers for Sterling on deadline day.
Sterling was said to have had interest from up to five clubs, but his preference to remain in London made a move more difficult.
The England international had a disappointing loan at Arsenal last season, where he scored once in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Sterling returned to Chelsea, and is part of the now infamous “bomb squad” along with defender Axel Disasi, with the duo training away from the first team.
Sterling failed to secure a move way from Chelsea in the summer.
The PFA have reportedly looked into Chelsea’s treatment of the pair and are keeping a close eye on the situation.
Simon Jordan has accused Sterling of caring more about money than football, and the former Manchester City star faces a bleak few months in the wilderness until January.
Deeney is the latest to share his thoughts on the situation, and claimed Sterling can’t complain about his current situation.
“My only frustration and concern at this whole thing is when we start feeling sorry for players who just had an opportunity to leave,” he told talkSPORT.
“The problem I have is, did any of us think Raheem Sterling was still going to be at Chelsea this year?
“So now you can’t complain.
“We knew this in April time, similarly to Isak. So all you have to do in that time period is talk about the compensation. It’s on both of them. Chelsea don’t want to do it.”
The common consensus is the duo are training on their own, but reportedly that isn’t actually the case.

It’s been reported Sterling and Disasi aren’t always training on their own, and they often train with Chelsea’s younger teams.
The whole situation is far from ideal for all parties involved, and Chelsea will desperately be hoping to find a solution in January.
