Liam Rosenior handing a note to Alejandro Garnacho with Chelsea 8-2 down on aggregate could be one of the defining moments of our season, visually.

Craig Burley and the rest of the ESPN team took aim at Liam Rosenior’s comical use of a written note to send instructions late in the game against PSG last night.
“They’re 6 goals behind with 5 minutes left. And this compounds all the stuff back to his press conference, where you just thought ‘this is going to be a car crash’, not because of what’s happening on the field, but in terms of how he addresses the media and his rhetoric, with this ridiculous ‘respect the ball’ huddle nonsense,” Burley said.
“To send on an instructional note with 5 minutes left… the game’s dead.”
He then joked that the only way that piece of paper was any use to anyone was if it had instructions to go to the pub after the game on it.

Burley went on to claim he’d been able to tell that Rosenior didn’t have the right fit right from his first presser. We would argue that some people had been able to tell even before that – the cringey viral videos of him that did the rounds before he was even announced as the new boss said a lot about what the wider public would make of him.
These same pundits also noted Mamadou Sarr’s early mistake as a key turning point.
There has been wider speculation about other players who might push for an exit if things don’t improve.
