Tiquinho Soares has resumed full training with Santos after a left calf problem, having turned down loan moves to stay at the club. He remains available to Juan Pablo Vojvoda.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the centre-forward has been cleared by the medical department and is back to ball work at CT Rei Pelé. He is contracted until 31 December 2027 and is seeking a bigger role after limited action at the end of last season.

Santos explored moving him on. Initial loan bids were turned down due to his wages, then talks over a contract termination took place without agreement. Further loan enquiries followed, but the player chose to stay.

At 35, he also rejected proposals from Coritiba and Remo, both in Série A of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The board had considered a loan or amicable exit, a scenario that for now is not expected to advance.

He has yet to be named in an official matchday squad in 2026. He is registered for the Campeonato Paulista, but is not on the club’s list for the Campeonato Brasileiro. Last season he made 40 appearances and scored seven goals for Santos.
