Former City stars Toni Duggan and Karen Bardsley will be special guests for our Matchday Live show against Manchester United.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side host our cross-city rivals as we face the Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 15 November with kick-off set for 13:30 (UK).
It’s the first match between the two sides this season in what poses to be yet another exciting Manchester derby.
Last time out City leapfrogged Chelsea to the top spot after a hard fought 2-1 win over Everton in Merseyside, while United lost 1-0 to Aston Villa as they fell to their first defeat of the season.
Heading into the game we sit four points ahead of the Reds, with a win boosting our spot at the summit and keep United at bay.
To mark the occasion, a special Matchday Live show will be broadcast on each of our digital channels, with Duggan and Bardsley offering their expert insight.
The pair made just under 200 appearances between them for City, with Bardsley and Duggan both playing a pivotal role in City Women’s first Women’s Super League title in 2016.
Our former prolific forward found the net 34 times during her three-year period at the Joie Stadium and was crowned WSL top goal scorer on three occasions (2014, 2015, 2017 Spring Series).
At the other end of the pitch, our trailblazing shot-stopper earned 64 clean sheets between the sticks at City and was our second signing as the Club turned professional.
Between them they hold twelve honours for the club, with ‘KB’ playing her part in eight trophy triumphs in her eight-and-a-half years at the Club.
They’ll be at the Etihad around one hour before kick-off to preview the game and share memorable stories from their time at the Club, before a half-time debrief and post-match analysis.
As always, Matchday Live is available on all our digital platforms and offers a unique City aspect to your match build-up with plenty of analysis and laughs in between.
