Tottenham Hotspur striker Randal Kolo Muani will undergo a medical examination on Sunday following a blow to his jaw against Manchester United today, according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins.

Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by the Red Devils at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today. The Frenchman was substituted at half-time.

It is unknown whether the knock is a serious one, and Tottenham will have to wait until tomorrow before any decisions are made.

Kolo Muani has been invited to the France national team for their final World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine on November 13 and Azerbaijan three days later.

However, he could miss out on international duty if the tests confirm a serious injury.

The 26-year-old’s loan spell is not going as planned, as he has yet to score in eight appearances across all competitions for Spurs.

He weighed in with an assist as Tottenham demolished FC Copenhagen 4-0 in their Champions League encounter at home on Tuesday.

However, they want more from him, and an injury is the last thing he needs right now.

Spurs return to action on November 23 with a trip to Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal, and manager Thomas Frank needs the Frenchman available.

Tottenham are already preparing to bolster their attack during the winter transfer window, with Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney and Juventus forward Jonathan David on their radar.

A final decision will only be made based on Kolo Muani’s form between now and the next transfer window.
