The group stage of the UEFA Champions League is set to reach its dramatic conclusion on Wednesday, as the 8th and final matchday gets underway. This decisive night is packed with high stakes, as European powerhouses like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Borussia Dortmund are all fighting to secure direct qualification for the Round of 16, aiming to avoid the perilous play-off round.

This last matchday of Europe's most prestigious competition will see 18 fixtures played simultaneously, all kicking off at 20:00 GMT.

Even before this electrifying evening begins, two teams have already punched their ticket to the Round of 16: Arsenal and Bayern Munich, both qualifying directly regardless of the final matchday results.

According to the tournament's new format, teams finishing from 1st to 8th place advance directly to the Round of 16, while those ranked 9th to 24th will have to battle it out in a two-legged play-off round.
