Unai Núñez and Guido Rodríguez train as Valencia face pivotal run

Valencia are enjoying an upturn, despite sitting only two points above the drop. Two consecutive LaLiga wins and progress in the Copa del Rey have lifted the mood.

According to AS, the club have added two reinforcements for the second half of the season. Unai Núñez arrived on Friday to bolster the defence, and Guido Rodríguez has joined to strengthen midfield.

Both trained in club kit for the first time under Carlos Corberán, who is preparing for Sunday’s trip to La Cartuja to face Betis.

The next stretch could shape the campaign. After Betis, Valencia host Athletic Club at Mestalla in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, then Real Madrid visit the same ground.

Corberán remains without Diakhaby, Agirrezabala, Tárrega and Thierry, who are still recovering from injuries. The Portuguese full-back is already working on the grass, while the others continue in the gym.
