Unai Núñez arrives in Valencia to finalise move and targets swift debut | OneFootball

Unai Núñez landed at Manises Airport on Friday to finalise his switch to Valencia, expressing delight at the move and enthusiasm about playing at Mestalla.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia reached an agreement on Friday to sign the 28-year-old centre-back, currently with Hellas Verona on loan from Celta Vigo, and the transfer is described as imminent.

He is set to join on loan until 30 June 2026, with a non-compulsory purchase option of around five million, the same clause included in his Verona loan deal.

Núñez has offered himself for selection against Espanyol, saying the decision rests with the coach and that he feels in excellent physical condition. He praised Mestalla as a top stadium with an outstanding fanbase and hopes to bring plenty of joy.

The plan is for a medical followed by the signing of his contract. The club aims to register him in time for Saturday so he could begin the match on the bench.
