Valencia CF Femenino and the Puchades will play in Liga F, the top tier of women's football in Spain, in the 2026/27 season after overcoming Villarreal CF Femenino in the final, played over two legs, with a 0-0 draw at the Mini Estadio of Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza (23 May) and a 1-1 draw at the Antonio Puchades Stadium at the Ciudad Deportiva (30 May), in a highly emotional encounter that lasted 120 minutes.
The team return to Liga F after their relegation on 11 May 2025, in the penultimate matchday of the top flight, and they do so after competing in a highly competitive Primera Federación Iberdrola 2025/26 campaign, in which they finished third and, as such, were the highest-ranked team to qualify for the promotion play-offs.
Deportivo Alavés, who finished second, secured automatic promotion after FC Barcelona B ended the season in first place.
Mikel Crespo's side collected 46 points from 26 regular-season matches, recording 12 wins, 10 draws and 4 defeats, while scoring 35 goals and conceding 18.
At the Puchades, they recorded 8 victories, 3 draws and 2 defeats (23 goals scored, 10 conceded); while away from home, their record was 4 wins, 7 draws and 2 defeats (12 goals scored, 8 conceded).
In the promotion play-offs, the team defeated CD Alba Fundación in the semi-finals (0-0 first leg; 4-3 second leg) and overcame Villarreal CF in the final (0-0 first leg; 1-1 second leg).
Throughout this journey, the Valencia CF Femenino coaching staff relied on a total of 29 players, including first-team footballers and Academy players: Jana, Tamarit, Lena Pérez, Celia, Nazareth, Gema, Marcano, Monente, Ferrato, Rebecca E., Mascarell, Mbadi C., Marina, Pauleta, Tere, M. Martí, Esther, Yasmin and Recio; and from the VCF Academy: Laia, Soler, C. Tormo, Sánchez, Gemma, Saray, Noa, Diana H., Nerea and Olivia.
A particularly important role was played by the four captains - Pauleta, Yasmin, Tamarit and M. Martí - who remained with the team following relegation in the 2024/25 season.
Meanwhile, Academy graduates Mascarell and Esther established themselves as first-team players from August 2025 onwards; and the 13 players who arrived during the summer of 2025 also integrated successfully into the structure of a sporting and human group that, under the guidance of Mikel Crespo and his entire staff, have returned Valencia CF Femenino and the Puchades to Liga F, the top tier of women's football in Spain.
