Valencia are accelerating plans to strengthen for next season, with the wing a clear priority. According to Heraldo, Adrián Liso is being considered as an option for Mestalla.
The club have already secured Dieng and De Haas, with more business to follow. A goalkeeper is sought to support Dimitrievski and Rivero, plus two centre-backs and a right-back, with Meunier favoured. In midfield Guido is central to plans, while in attack Sadiq is the only secure pick amid a possible Hugo Duro exit, Diego López’s early absence, Danjuma out of the picture and Ramazani under study.
Liso, 21, belongs to Real Zaragoza, recently relegated to 1ªRFEF, and spent last season on loan at Getafe. The Madrid club tried to use Zaragoza’s drop to cut the purchase cost, but their option has now expired.
The loan included a 50% rights option for 3 million euros, yet Getafe sought a larger share for the same fee and were rebuffed. Several top-flight sides have since shown interest in the left-footer, including Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano and Valencia, while Mallorca’s relegation weakens their hand. Genoa and Olympiacos are also in the frame.
Zaragoza have made clear to suitors that nobody will be given away. Sporting director Lalo Arantegui considers Liso’s sale important to reshape the squad for a promotion push.
Liso’s season started brightly then faded, ending with three goals and three assists in 31 games across LaLiga and the Copa del Rey. All his goals came in the opening two rounds, then after January his minutes dropped under Bordalás with winter arrivals. He can operate on either flank, up front or off the striker.
