Valencia are weighing a move for Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil, according to talkSPORT. The 24-year-old has been on loan at Ipswich Town since January, helping promotion to the Premier League this month, and with his Wearside contract expiring at the end of June he is understood to be available on a free permanent transfer this summer.

Valencia are now led by former Huddersfield and West Brom boss Carlos Corberan, and the report says he admires Neil from his time in England.

Sunderland are also among several Premier League sides monitoring Sweden right-back Emil Holm. The Bologna defender spent the second half of the season on loan at Juventus and, despite an injury-hit campaign, recorded four assists and a goal in 17 Serie A appearances, and Juve are not expected to make the move permanent. Il Resto del Carlino states that Sunderland, Everton, Brighton and Brentford are keeping tabs, with the option to buy in his loan said to have been around £13.9 million.

Meanwhile, TEAMtalk reports Sunderland and Everton could reignite interest in Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu following the Foxes’ recent relegation to League One, after a failed bid from the Black Cats in January. David Moyes’ Toffees are also said to be keen, and the player is viewed as ready for Premier League football next season.

The outlet adds that Leicester are supposedly open to offers in the region of £15 million to £20 million.
