Vasco could lose Paulo Henrique to Saudi bid, ‘to move for’ Alcides Benítez

Vasco da Gama could lose first-choice right-back Paulo Henrique soon after the Copa do Brasil finals, with clubs in Germany and Italy monitoring him and Saudi Arabia signalling a very high financial offer.

According to Palco do Esporte, Vasco have identified Alcides Benítez as the preferred replacement should a sale be agreed.

Despite talk around his future, Paulo Henrique said his focus is on the Corinthians decider, adding that decisions rest with his representatives and the club hierarchy.

Benítez, a 23-year-old Paraguayan who plays for Guaraní, has caught the eye in 2025 with 50 appearances, two goals and four assists.

He is rated positively at São Januário and is seen as a bet to keep standards on the right flank if Paulo Henrique is sold in the next window under Fernando Diniz.
