Bart Verbruggen has been voted Brighton’s November 2025 Player of the Month after three clean sheets and a crucial penalty save. According to WeAreBrighton.com, the goalkeeper topped the poll with 42.46 percent of the vote, ahead of Lewis Dunk and Ferdi Kadioglu.
Brighton shut out Leeds United 3-0, drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace and won 2-0 at Nottingham Forest. The City Ground clean sheet came only 10 months after Brighton conceded seven there, their heaviest league defeat in 67 years.
Verbruggen was rarely worked against Leeds, but made big saves at Palace and Forest. His standout moment came in the Brentford win when he made his first Brighton penalty save in the 91st minute from Igor Thiago, who had scored from the spot earlier. Brighton conceded only once all month, that first-half penalty.
Dunk was runner-up amid calls for Fabian Hurzeler to drop him. He had not started a Premier League clean sheet since the 0-0 with Brentford in December 2024, while Adam Webster and Jan Paul van Hecke delivered all 2025 shutouts. Illness kept him on the bench against Brentford, but at half time he helped turn 1-0 into a win, quietening talk before his 500th outing against Aston Villa in early December.
Kadioglu placed third after nine months out with a broken toe. A settled back four has helped Brighton, and he has made left back his own. Signed for £25 million from Fenerbahce as a utility option, he now looks most at home at full back.
