Vivian and Berenguer have not recovered and are left out of Valverde’s 22 for Sunday’s meeting with Levante at San Mamés, kick-off 16:15.

According to as.com, the international centre-back has had a muscle overload for 10 days, missing four matches. Berenguer has a recurring pain in the first toe of his right foot since September.

They join the sidelined Sancet, Sannadi, Prados and Egiluz, as well as Yeray, who completes his doping suspension on 2 April.

After the final training session, and compared to Wednesday’s cup tie in Valencia, the coach recalls Paredes after suspension and omits academy players De Luis and Eder García.

The 22 called up are Unai Simón, Areso, Paredes, Laporte, Yuri, Ruiz de Galarreta, Jauregizar, Iñaki Williams, Unai Gómez, Nico Williams, Guruzeta, Padilla, Gorosabel, Vesga, Lekue, Boiro, Robert Navarro, Serrano, Izeta, Rego, Selton and Monreal.
